Beacon@fedia.ioto Technology@lemmy.world•True Wireless Power is FINALLY here (building a TRULY wire-free desk setup)11·2 days agoThat’s literally what reporting means. You don’t have to be a news outlet to do a report.

That why you should use multiple email accounts. One address for friends n family, one for spam that includes all confirmations etc., one for work stuff, one for bills and utilities that you must not miss, etc. It takes a little bit of effort to keep track of the multiple inboxes but it’s better than having all your emails go to the same place
I’m 10+ years into a project that i thought would take like a few months - *face palm*
That doesn’t sound like a good relationship to me. It seems like you’re letting your ego get in the way of a better life. My partner helps me do things and i help my partner do things. When my partner helps resolve a situation that was not going well for me, then I’m very happy they did
Beacon@fedia.ioto Technology@lemmy.world•True Wireless Power is FINALLY here (building a TRULY wire-free desk setup)26·3 days agoNobody said it was, and is irrelevant. I will quote my other reply to explain the intended point:
If the only media reporting about a new technology is a video then that thing is significantly more likely to be bullshit
Beacon@fedia.ioto Technology@lemmy.world•True Wireless Power is FINALLY here (building a TRULY wire-free desk setup)26·3 days agoWhat he goes into has nothing to do with anything. You don’t seem to understand my comment, it’s very possible that i worded it poorly, so I’ll reiterate:
If the only media reporting about a new technology is a video then that thing is significantly more likely to be bullshit
Beacon@fedia.ioto Technology@lemmy.world•True Wireless Power is FINALLY here (building a TRULY wire-free desk setup)25·3 days agoThanks, it’s weird how some people are reacting to this comment. Is this their first day on the Internet? I’m not saying this device IS bullshit, I’m saying from a long history of experience that if the only 3rd party media you can find about a device is a video then that device is significantly more likely to be bullshit. It’s simple and clearly true.
Beacon@fedia.ioto Technology@lemmy.world•True Wireless Power is FINALLY here (building a TRULY wire-free desk setup)17·3 days agoi.e. he is reporting about a technology. Again, if the only media reporting about a new technology is a video then that thing is significantly more likely to be bullshit

You’d probably recognize Steven King also, but yeah the list is extremely small for everyone
Beacon@fedia.ioto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•People with aphantasia, how does it affect your book reading?0·6 days agoMy dad has aphantasia and he describes something similar, but it doesn’t make sense to me when he says it either. When i ask how he knows how to get somewhere he says he “thinks in vectors”. But i don’t understand how that’s different than visualizing

Yup this is a typical symptom of adhd. This alone doesn’t mean you have adhd, but it means you should put it on the possibility list and maybe get evaluated by a professional
